Proven to be one of the most beneficial types of exercise, strength training should be a priority in your fitness routine. My motto is, "You only feel younger when you are stronger, and that goes with any age." My methodology of strength training is different than traditional weight training. Unlike weight machines and dumbbells, I provide a better resistance to fit your needs and comforts.
Why is strength training vital for an aging population?
The human body starts to lose muscle mass and function in their 30s. Life expectancy in the US is around 80. Ultimately the body is in a natural state of decline for those remaining 50 years. Strength training not only maintains and increases muscle mass, but more importantly improves function.
As a personal trainer with more than 15 years of experience working with clients into their 90's, my goal is to safely provide a training regimen to build strength and flexibility, despite any injuries or health challenges. Clients have referred to my strength training as a type of hybrid rehabilitation.
