My journey on becoming a personal trainer started shortly after playing collegiate football for San Diego State University and graduating with a major in Kinesiology. I had the opportunity to start working for a small specialized gym called Gill’s Fitness. Prior to this experience, weighing 230lbs, my focus on strength training was getting “bigger, stronger, faster” which eventually changed to getting “lighter, leaner, healthier.” I learned a unique methodology of strength training from Jonathan Gill (www.gillsfitness.com) in San Diego, CA and I’m excited to bring this methodology to my own practice in the East Bay.
When asked about my style of training, I often describe it as a hybrid rehabilitation. While using manual resistance I am able to improve resistance to your muscles throughout a further range of motion. I maturely motivate and challenge my client's muscular system, creating longer/leaner muscles. When necessary, I adapt to your discomforts and find a way for your body to get it right.
I encourage a free consultation session as it’s best for people to feel this unique type of training. My methodology and hands-on manual pressure is a different technique used in comparison to many trainers. This type of training yields improved strength, focus, emphasizes safety, and saves you time. Please refer to my client testimonials. I take pride in communicating effectively with my clients and do my best to customize a program to fit their needs.
